The decision to jettison outta Silent Creek Campground came at a cost, the ritual morning coffee torn to shreds and with the hit of liquid gold not forth coming the lengthy climb out felt like an eternity.
At around 9.15am I sung out to Brad via the CB that I was finding a spot to pull up and make myself a quick trackside coffee, Brad with other business in mind was quick to agree!

With the wind getting stronger by the minute and storm clouds brewing in the distance we finally made our way to the to the end of Felled Timber Rd. Post air up of tyres we jumped onto the Abercrombie Rd.

With no plan in place I suggested to Brad we charge on through to Bummaroo Ford campground and check it out as it wasn’t too far.
Fast forward four hours and we are back at the OG spot in Part 1 of this adventure and it’s hailing!

Twenty minutes later the storm had passed, bringing calm back to the lake!

With the sun resurfacing it was time to crack open a can of CC and prep myself for a low carb dinner.

With a quiet evening on the cards due to a big day of driving, a short stint staring at the bush TV was all that was required to transition to REM…

Our final morning was met with an early rise and quick getaway, the weather wasn’t looking too sharp and with the mist coming of the lake we decided to make tracks and do a little exploring before calling it a day.

After traversing some creek crossings and navigating some very thin tracks resulting in a few more pinstripes we made our way back to Oberon, and for me a real cheeky dogs eye!

And that concludes another camp, number 10 for 2025! See you on the flip side…
