The Bridle Track
After the feed it was time for a date with destiny! For those of you who care to remember, the Bridle Track that runs from Bathurst to Hill End closed in 2010 due to a landslip at Monoghans Bluff and it was not possible to traverse its full distance via motor vehicle.
The last documented time I drove its full distance prior to the land slip was in back in December 2003. Images and commentary here: The Bridle Track, 2003.
In February 2023 (just a couple of weeks ago and almost 20 years since my last documented trip) work to bypass the landslip had completed and I took the opportunity to drive the complete Bridle Track from the Hill End side. It was pretty smooth sailing, images below.
