The iconic pub circa 1872 has closed its doors due to unforeseen circumstances. As quoted on its Facebook page dated 27 Sept. 2025.
For me it is a sad day as the Royal holds some fond memories spanning across more than two decades. One of the great places to have a schooner (or three) and some awesome pub grub.
Fingers crossed over the next few months it reopens, I think all in sundry will be glad to have a schooner there again!
