In the little spare time that I do have I have a tendancy to write articles about UNIX that are in a format known as 'user friendly', I leave the hardcore tech talk to websites like slashdot, security focus, freshmeat, etc. My goal here is to translate into simple language how to do things on your UNIX type system whether it be FreeBSD, OpenBSD or Linux.
One of the more famous articles 'Setting up X in OpenBSD' was published on the OpenBSD jounal and has been placed on various technical sites in the form of the article published or linked back to here. As time has been sparce over the last few months I have had no chance to add anymore articles, but as long as bears defecate in woods you can bet that I will be adding more articles here or in the process of doing so.
The current list of articles
- The power of redirecting
- Setting up X in OpenBSD
- Using the UNIX shell as a tool for the www
- Changing your default shell
- How to dual boot Slackware Linux and Windows XP
- Installing and configuring GRUB on FreeBSD
