We (my partner and myself) are in the process of doing up the study, I spent monday night putting together two desks and a bookshelf, then last night was spent trying to tidy the room up and get it set up with everything in it. This has lead to me being sick today, my bones are aching and my head is hurting - the real thing that worries me is that I scanned a patient who came in with a query of meningitis, I am hoping I havent caught this from him!
So this in turn leaves me with a rather lack lustre update and no time to even ponder on writing very much appart from what continues below...
The Secluded State of Mind I have five days off work during August, unfortunatly they comprise solely of weekdays and that compromises the mission that I have set myself. I ordered my swag earlier today and it should arive late next week, but thats not the mission that I have set for myself, I want or should I say NEED to get outdoors and do some camping. Having time off during the week often means that my friends wont be able to go as they work, so this creates the dilemma of 'should I go camping on my own'? Will I be robbed of the chance to escape the harsh elements of Sydney by this? I have always admired Brad for going away on his own, he has travelled to South Australia on a trip alone - but will I be able to do it, and where will I go? Being the reclusive type of person that I am I actually think that I will enjoy the time alone in a surreal climate (that will be icy cold) to think about the thousands of thoughts that pace through my mind but are only a flash. It could be an analytical kind of week away, secluded in my reclusiveness, thinking, pondering and trying not to get pneumonia! |
The Swag Earlier today (as mentioned to the left) I purchased a swag, a viking swag to be specific. Why the viking? Well this was the one swag that offered it all, traditional swag style, a triangular tent style and dome style. Yes this swag cost me a hundred dollars more than what most of the others were (appart from the Mr Swagman swag, which looked like a coffin), but the sheer versatility of this swag attracted me and being able to add accessories such as windflaps to it attracted me even more. So next week I will recieve my fully optioned, double sized swag. All I need to purchase now is a fly sheet to stop the morning condensation from sitting on the swag and I am ready to tackle the harsh Australian climate. At the Moment...I am listening to: Anthrax - We've come for you all. I am at: home, in the study. I am wearing: track pants and a Lonsdale sweat shirt. I am feeling: tired, sleepy and annoyed. I wish I was: sleeping under the stars at Uluru. I want: a TMJ steel bull bar for my Landcruiser. |
