It was a cold, let me rephrase 'damn cold' evening when we finally pulled into our accomodation at Coloundra in Queenslands Sunshine Coast, the beach outside the appartments seemed to have a mystic look about it. I braved the cold and stepped onto the beach with tripod in one hand and camera in the other and took a handfull of photos. Who said taking photos is easy?

Firstly not everyone has a state of the art computer that is capable of rendering graphics extremely well, along with the graphics comes colour and contrast - I have a laptop LCD screen and 64Mb video card which has a huge contrast range and renders colours perfectly. Not everyone has such a luxury.
If your using an old web browser such as the notorious Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x this website will not render correctly. This isnt a huge issue as almost everyone has an up to date web browser. Current web validation has made me move away from using Netscape 4.x friendly tables and code using CSS, this area is out of my control, though I would love for shintara to work on every web browser like the older versions all did.
The question that I am asking myself is, 'do I start saving my photo files in the "save for web" style?', that in my opinion makes the photo's look grainy and runny 'or do I just cater for people who have superior computer equipment.' To cater for all, the minimum requirements to view the site correctly is having high colour (16 bit) or better set in your display property settings, 800 x 600 or greater pixel resolution, adequate contrast so that the photo's dont look very "dark" and a current browser like Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 7 etc are essential.
Gold Coasting The last twelve days have been and gone so quickly, it feels like it was only yesterday that I started the journey to Coffs Harbour, then Surfers Paradise, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and back to Surfers Paradise. By the last day I was sick of taking photos, on the day I went to Sea World I took 124 photos in the span of 8 hours - mind you almost all of these were the holidaying happy snap type of photo that no one apprt from family and friends will ever see. Australian Reptile Park, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Movie World, Sea World and Dream World were the main attractions I traversed. I enjoyed going to the South Bank markets and a Turkish restaurant with my cousins, Broadbeach and Carrara Markets werent to bad aswell - my girlfriend bought me a new lure, rod and reel combo from the last two markets mentioned. The rod and reel combo proved to be a worthy purchase, I hooked up a 525gram bream on the jetty at the back of my uncles house which backs up onto the Nerang river. Unfortunatly its not so great to be back, though I say this every time I get away and Monday morning means going back to work! Towards the end of July I should be heading off again for a weekend away, this time it will be camping somewhere hopefully with a new swag to sleep in. |
Look who's back Upon returning back from bliss and turning my computer on, doing the usual things like checking my email and sifting through hundreds of spam emails and surfing the web I discovered that Scott from Darklemon has made his long awaited return back to the web.
