The iconic pub circa 1872 has closed its doors due to unforeseen circumstances. As quoted on its Facebook page dated 27 Sept. 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me it is a sad day as the Royal holds some fond memories spanning across more than two decades. One of the great places to have a schooner (or three) and some awesome pub grub.<\/p>\n\n\n

Fingers crossed over the next few months it reopens, I think all in sundry will be glad to have a schooner there again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below walk down memory lane, starting with a full frontal from 2003 – to be honest not much has changed in its appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And an absolutely crazy night in 2007, the only sane and sober person being the bar maid (I think)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
