Friday night at ‘Wang’ is starting to become a common theme! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knock off work Friday arvo and head up the highway, stop for a feed at Blackheath fisho and arrive at Lake Wallace around 9’ish, freeze your arse off setting up the tent and then warm up by the fire sipping a beverage…<\/p>\n\n\n

Once daylight savings has clocked off (all puns intended) Lake Wallace becomes a different place; less people camping, less noise and it is silly cold. But trust me, this is a good thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always the next morning when camping at Wallace involves a stop off at Wang (Wallerawang) Bakery for a pie and sweets! <\/p>\n\n\n

The square shaped pie is the renouned pie of the week, this particular week it was curry steak and potato! Delicious!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a stunning day in toe post consumption it was decided to head over to Turon River NP, there’s a lookout along the Pinnacle Fire Trail and my initial thoughts were let’s check it out and if possible camp the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first section of the Pinnacle from Turon River NP has been graded, previously it was an absolute steep mess that was starting to get out of control. Most of the trail up to the lookout is quite smooth, there’s a small section nearing the top that is a little loose. YouTube clip below covering most of the trip:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
