Mungo National Park

Mungo National Park is one of those places you MUST visit, in November 2023 I had the opportunity to tick this off my bucket list!

My fascination with Mungo began back at the start of the 21st century, Ron and Viv Moon's remote travels to Mungo in various 4wd publications detailing the amazing journey and scenery stuck in my mind for well over a couple of decades.
When the opportunity presented itself during a work related trip to Broken Hill I without hesitation took the opportunity!

The remote beauty of Mungo is like nothing else, from the corrugated red dusty roads to the wild untouched landscape. It's hard to focus on the drive ahead!

Pictures don't to justice to the sunset overlooking the ancient Walls of China.

The campground at Mungo is pretty basic though accomodating of the surrounds. It really is a place where you can sit back, slow down and just take the world in.
My set up was simple, stretcher partnered with a Crashpad Swag.
The weather was perfect, no need to extend the awning, November must be the sweet spot!

Unfortunately the time at Mungo didn't feel long enough, so much to explore and see. I can't wait to one day return and experience one of the truely most amazing destinations.
